Joe Trento

Joseph Trento has spent more than 35 years as an investigative journalist, working with both print and broadcast outlets and writing extensively. Before joining the National Security News Service in 1991, Trento worked for CNN's Special Assignment Unit, the Wilmington News Journal, and prominent journalist Jack Anderson. Trento has received six Pulitzer nominations and is the author of five books, including Prelude to Terror, The Secret History of the CIA, Widows, and Prescription for Disaster. Joe currently serves as the editor of DCBureau.org.

susanSusan Trento is the Director of Development for the Public Education Center, the parent organization of DCBureau.org. She is also serves an editor for DCBureau.org.

Allison Sickle earned a Bachelor of Arts in mass communication with a focus in print journalism and a minor in environmental studies from Loyola University New Orleans. She writes about environmental and political issues for Natural Resources News Service.

Katie Manning is DCBureau's resident video journalist. She is responsible for camerawork, editing video, interviewing sources, writing scripts and on-camera reporting.



NiamhNiamh Marnell earned a master's degree in social sciences from the University of Chicago where she examined organizations and power from the perspective of political science and sociology. She moved to DC to pursue a career in journalism.

Hannah Karns received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in December 2009.  While attending UW, Hannah served in a variety of capacities including the Senior Class President and the Vice Chair of the Associated Students of Madison, the student government.  She moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue her interests in investigative journalism and international law.

Adam Lichtenheld is a Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellow and a national security correspondent with the National Security News Service. Before joining NSNS, Adam was a freelance journalist in the Middle East.

Adam Sarvana writes about environmental and political issues for Natural Resources News Service. He formerly covered military environmental programs and the Environmental Protection Agency for more than two years at Inside Washington Publishers.
